Lee’s Hill Lightning Families,
We are looking forward to this winter ending so we can all be at the pool again! After last weeks snow, summer cannot come fast enough.
The Swim Team Board of Directors has been working hard over the last few months preparing for the Lee’s Hill Lightnings 23rd Swim Season.
We have been following up on our donations from last summers Practice with a Purpose where our wonderful swimmers swam over 53 miles in one practice morning! We have donated $300.00 each to the Lake of Woods Adaptive Water Sports and the National Federation of the Blind Fredericksburg Chapter.
We have one more donation to present to the Disability Resources Center. This presentation will happen on April 15th before their annual “Walk n Roll” event. We have been also been invited to participate in the walk as their guests. We will be donating $600.00 to them, and because of this any Lightning Swim Team member can walk with the registration fee waived. We would love to see you there. The presentation will be at 12:45 before the walk begins. The walk will then begin at 1:00. I have attached the flier for the walk. The Disability Resource Center has asked that if you are interested in walking please send us the names and ages of interested walkers. I will then forward a complete list before the walk to them.

April 15th – Walk n Roll – Disability Resource Center 11:30 a.m.
May 6th - Ice Cream Social – 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. South Clubhouse
June 2nd – Applebee’s Flap Jack Fundraiser – 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. - Southpoint
June 18th – Salsarita’s Spirit Night – 5:00 until close - Southpoint
July 16th – Chipotle Fund Raiser from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. - Southpoint
