Lee's Hill Lightning News - FIRST HOME MEET!! - Hampton Oaks Hurricanes - June 29, 2016

Lee’s Hill Lightning Families,

 

Looks like the weather is going to cooperate on Wednesday –with cooler temperatures and lower humidity!

 

I hope everyone is excited about Wednesday’s first HOME American Division meet against the Hampton Oaks Hurricanes!!

 

Remember the home team sits on the clubhouse side of the pool.  All chairs and lounges will be stacked during set up - so remember your folding chairs.

 

Concessions will be open for business!  Remember – concessions is one of our biggest fundraisers. So enjoy some pizza, hamburger or cheeseburger, Sonic Hotdogs, Philly Pretzels or famous Lightning Nachos.

 

The concession volunteers all work very hard to provide good food at reasonable rates!

 

Just a friendly reminder – children are not allowed in the concession area.

 

Spirit Committee will be selling Spirit Wear! T-shirts, lanyards, visors, swim caps and NEW Lightning Magnets!!

 

 

Here is the schedule for Wednesday night:

 

We start set up and the pool closes at 4:00 PM

Our Swimmers should all arrive by 4:30 PM.  Be prompt!

Your swimmers must check in with the coaches by 4:45 PM, or they will be scratched from the meet.

4:45 PM – 5:15 Home Team Warms Up

Visiting team arrives between 4:30 – 5:00 PM

5:20 PM – 5:50 Away Team Warms Up

5:30 PM – Timers for the first and second half of the meet - please report to the concessions area for a meeting with the Head Timer.

5:30 PM – Stroke and Turn Judges and Runners please report to the Starter Tent area for a meeting with the Referee.

5:50 PM – Swimmers for events 1-4 report please report to the Clerk of Course.

National Anthem at 5:55 PM

Start Meet Promptly at 6:00 PM

Lee's Hill Lightning News - 2016 Swim Team Handbook & Miss Meet Form - First Home Meet

Lee's Hill Lightning Families,

 

I hope everyone had  a wonderful weekend!

 

I have attached the 2016 Swim Team Handbook and the Missed Meet Form to this e-mail. I just added a new batch of e-mails now that the roster is settling out. We have had a very dynamic registration period this year.

 

If you are now starting to receive e-mails, and would like to review all past e-mails – please go to the team website at: golightning.org.  I try to copy every e-mail to the blog.

 

Please - if you know you are going to be out of town for this week's HOME meet against the Hampton Oaks Hurricanes please let the coach know in advance.  Coach Claire will be starting to plan for this meet on Monday.

 

I am also attaching the SignUpGenius for this week meet - I am still in need of about 12 positions.

 

Please signup as soon as possible.  Most of the position do not require any RSL training – for new families to the team – the experienced folks will provide any information you might need.

 

If you are new to the team - we are working on getting returning families with experience to help guide you through these first few meets. 

 

There will be more information to follow with regards to this week's meet.
