I hope everyone is excited about the start of the 2018 swim season! Practices are going great!
I have attached the 2018 Missed Meet Form.
For all the new families, as well as returning families – this year filling out the Missed Meet Form is even MORE important than in past years.
Not that filling out the form, and e-mailing the Head Coach if you were going to miss a meet was not important in the past – this year there have been MANY rule changes at the Rappahannock Swim League (RSL).
First the first time – the entire Rappahannock Swim League will be using computer seeding for the meets for ALL our meets not just RSL Finals.
This means that the Head Coach HAS to submit the entries for a meet the night BEFORE the meet.
We will ONLY be using cards for relays. The lane timers on deck will be getting sheets exactly like what we use at Finals.
Because of these new rules, there can be no last hour substitutions before the meets starts. If a swimmer is not present there is no way to substitute in another swimmer to help the team score points.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE MISSED MEET FORMS BE FILLED OUT AND PLACED IN THE TEAM BOX IF YOU KNOW YOUR SWIMMER IS GOING TO BE MISSING A MEET.
During the Mock Meet Parent Meeting on Wednesday, we can answer any questions you might have.
