This week at the pool!

This will be a big week for us, with our first home meet of the season on Wednesday. Country Club swim team will swim against us at 6:00 pm. Keep watching the blog and email for more updates.

Clinics will continue on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings. One area for improvement in a lot of our younger swimmers is diving off the blocks. Good starts give the swimmer a decided advantage in a race situation. Starts are practiced at each clinic.

Morning practice is also a critical time for swimmers of all ages. Our coaching staff has noticed a decline in the number of 9-12 year old swimmers in the mornings, and would like to see more consistent practice attendance.

Practice changes for week of June 8-11

Monday through Thursday, all age groups will be asked to practice on the following schedule:

Ages 10 & under-6:00-6:45

Ages 11 & over-6:45-7:45

This is a change from our previously advertised practice sessions, since weather has not allowed any age group to get in meaningful practices. We hope the weather will cooperate!

Remember that Coach Jay will have a parent meeting, with emphasis on new swimmers/parents, on Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm (during practice). All parents are invited to attend.

Swim practice is ON tonight!

6&under swimmers will practice from 6:00-6:30 tonight, and 13-14 year old swimmers will practice from 6:30-7:45, as long as the pool remains open! If parents of the younger swimmers are concerned about the pool or air temperature, Coach Jay will leave the decision up to you.

Stacey Ostlund will be at the pool tonight during the first practice session with swim suits, goggles, and spirit items for sale.

If you have not turned in your RSL waiver form for each swimmer, you must do so before the swimmer is allowed to swim with the team. Please see a board member at the pool to turn these in if you have not already done so.
