LEE’S HILL LIGHTNING SWIM TEAM
Deann Fischer
MEMORIAL SWIM-A-THON
All Lee’s Hill Lightning team members are invited to participate in a swim-a-thon in memory of Deann Fischer, longtime swim parent who served tirelessly volunteering countless hours in the scoring room before, during and after meets. Sadly, Deann passed away in January after a long battle with cancer. Our team is swimming to purchase a tree and plaque in memory of her to be planted near the swimming pool. Something her husband Mark and daughters Amanda and Abby can see each time they are at the pool.
Swimmers – you are invited to recruit sponsors for your participation in this swim-a-thon. Ask family and friends to pledge an amount based on the number of pool lengths you swim or a specific dollar amount no matter how many lengths you swim. We will accept cash donations or checks made to
“Lee’s Hill Lightning Swim Team.”
Write “Swim-a-thon” on the memo line, please.
Participants will swim for the Fisher family during morning practice on July 29 or at the evening clinic on July 28 under the supervision of our coaching staff. If you are unable to attend practice on those dates, see Coach Jay for make-up times OR you may swim for Deann on your own. Just get someone to count pool lengths for you and have an adult sign the reverse of this page to verify your participation if you do this outside of team practice.
Please turn in all donations and sponsor sheets (see reverse) by July 31.
You may give cash donations to any Lee’s Hill Lightning Board member or any adult coach OR place checks in the designated folder of the Communications File Box that is present at practices.
Lots of sponsors mean we will be able to purchase something beautiful for our team and the Fisher family to enjoy and prizes for the swimmers!
Lee’s Hill Lightning Spirt Prize Packs will be awarded to the top boy and girl fundraiser!
Let’s all do our best for someone who has given so much to our team.
