A Few Thoughts For Volunteers

Thank you to everyone who worked last night! An extra thank you to Mark Fischer and Mary Miller who stepped in literally at the last minute to cover absent timers.

Timers: I've updated Volunteer Sheets to include lane assignments for the remaining meets. If these updates don't show when you click the link, refresh the page so it will reload. In the event of a thunderstorm when a meet is called for the night, give your watch to any Lightning Board Member. If you do not see one of us, take the watch home with you and bring it to the next practice. If you're handing your watch to me, I'll be checking your name off so I know where to look if we are missing watches.

Relay Round-Up: Whether you're working a home or away meet you'll be working directly with the coaching staff. Please make sure you are immediately available to them...5:55pm if you're a 1st half worker and at event 55 if you're a 2nd half worker.

Pre-Meet Meetings: Just before every meet [at a time determined by the hosting team] the timers and stroke and turn volunteers for both halves are to meet. Please attend these meetings, even if you're experienced, as the RSL does change information/rules from time to time and this is where you'll hear new information. An announcement is always made around 5pm regarding the time and location of these meetings. If you miss the announcement, you can ask the hosting team's Announcer or a Lightning Board Member.

I am a moving target, so if you cannot find me prior to the meet to check-in, please visit your station (Scoring, Clerk of Course, Concessions, etc.) so they know you're present and can give you any last minute instructions.

Your Out-Going Meet Director,
Stacy Cochrane
