Lightning News - 2016 RSL American Division Finals Results

Lee’s Hill Lightning Families,

Another year of Lightning Swimming has come to an end.

I have attached the results from Finals to this e-mail. All of this year’s meet results are available on the RSL Website - rslswimming.com

I want to thank everyone again for all your hard volunteer work at Finals and throughout the season. Without your dedication, all of this is not possible.

As I said at the banquet on Sunday – I am very proud of all the hard work our Lightning Swimmers have put in throughout the season.

The purpose of summer swim is to have fun, and from all the smiles, laughter and comradery I have seen this summer, I think we achieved that.

Thank you to ALL of our Coaches!  Your hard work makes all of our Lighting swimmers stronger, faster, and molds us into a great team of young people.

If you are not a member of our Facebook page, the below link will take you to the wonderful pictures that Clif Turman took during Finals and throughout the season.

When you see Clif and Sandy – please tell them a big THANK YOU for all the work they do taking some absolutely fantastic pictures throughout the swim season.

It’s a lot of work, taking and then publishing all those beautiful pictures of our Lightning Swimmers on line.

2016 RSL American Division Finals - Good Luck! Swim Lightning Fast!

Lee’s Hill Lightning Families,

Just got back for the KG YMCA.  Everything is set up and ready to go for tomorrow.

I huge thanks to all the Lightning Families, as well as all the other teams who sent people to help setup!

A big thanks to all those who helped load the truck at our pool, and those who helped unload at the YMCA.

It all went very well – I think we are ready.

I know our concessions committee is still working into the night to prepare great food for tomorrow.

As a reminder – for the first session our younger swimmers (10 and under / events 1-22) warm up at 6:45 AM.  I would be at the pool by 6:15 AM to get settled.

Our older swimmers (11 & Older / events 23-36) will be warning up at 10:30 AM – so I would try to arrive at the pool by 10:00 AM.

I wish all our swimmers and volunteers good luck tomorrow.

Swim Lightning Fast!

Bob

2016 RSL Finals Information

Lee’s Hill Lightning Families,

Well – RSL Finals are almost here!

I see that all our Lightning swimmers are practicing hard during this last week.

It should be a very exciting meet! Anything can happen at Finals!

As you know, the Lee’s Hill Lightning Swim Team is the host team for this year’s RSL American Division Finals.

A lot of hard work has gone into the planning for this event.

Our Concessions Committee has been working especially hard to get all the supplies they need to create a wonderful menu, and all the logistics involved to make it happen. This is a huge undertaking!

Since we are hosting this event, I ask that everyone please help out where needed. Many hands make light work.

Rather than re-typing everything, I have included in this e-mail the instructions I have put together that were sent out to all the teams in our division. I have also included a very general timeline of the events.

The meet is broken into two halves (with 3 worker’s sessions).

Our team warms up at 6:45 AM.  Please be at the KG YMCA by 6:15 AM.

There are two halves to the meet, but three worker's sessions. The first session includes all events in the first half (events 1-22). The second session is events 23-42 and the third session is events 43-66.
