Lee's Hill Lightning News - First Home Meet - Ferry Farm - June 25, 2014

Lee’s Hill Lightning Families,

Reminder about the "Missed Meet" Form - please notify Coach Jay if your child will not be at the meet. (Don't forget to mention all the swimmers in your family that won't be there). The form is on the website, in the Family Box at the pool during practice, or you can email Coach Jay at  Jaylo.Smith63@gmail.com. Usually the Coach would like this in her box by Monday afternoon.

Wednesday’s Schedule:

The pool closes at 4:00 PM on Wednesday.  That is when the Meet Set up volunteers will begin to get the pool ready for the meet.

Swimmers are to report to the pool at 4:30 PM

Home Team warm ups start at 5:00 PM

Away Team arrive at ~5:00 PM and warms up at 5:30

All Lane Timers will meet with the Head Timer near Concessions at 5:40 PM

All Stroke and Turn & Runners will meet with the Referee at 5:40 PM near the starter’s tent.

Meet Starts promptly at 6:00 PM.

The home team sits on the clubhouse side of the pool.

Also – thank you to all the volunteers who helped out!  I thought everything went very well, and that we should be ready for a great first meet on Wednesday. I took away a lot of lessons learned from yesterday.  If anyone has any suggestions on how I could make things better – please let me know.

I am still in need of a few volunteers for the following very important positions:

Starter*

Second Half

Stroke and Turn

Second Half

Stroke and Turn*

Second Half

For any new families – the 2014 Swim Team Handbook is on the website.  There is a lot of valuable information covered in the handbook.

I will send out another e-mail with the rain delays rules and procedures – just in case.

See you at the pool!

Go Lightning!

Bob Denecke

Meet Director
