Lee's Hill Lightning News - Information - Notification of Cancelled Practices and Delayed Meets

Lee’s Hill Lightning Families,

 

I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend!!

 

I wanted to send this out to ALL Lightning families new and old as a reminder of how we will try our very best to communicate canceling practices, swim meets, and any meet delays.

 

After a decision is made to cancel/delay by the Head Coach, RSL rep, and/or one of the Board Members – we will do our very best to post updates to one or all of the following depending on connectivity at the time. 

 

Basically the team has four ways to communicate cancellations and delays – listed in order of preference:

 

1.       RainedOut.net

2.       Facebook – Lee’s Hill Lightning Swim Team

3.       E-mail Distribution

4.       BLOG on the golightning.org website

 

 

RainedOut.net:  This application is available on our website: golightning.org and is located on the left side of the home page.  If you click on the application it will take you to a page where you can set up to get Instant Messages (IM) or e-mails messages or both.

 

If you cannot get to the team Website at: golightning.org, please try to copy and paste the following address into your browser and it should take you to the Lee’s Hill Lightning Swim Team to sign up.

Facebook – Lee’s Hill Lightning Swim Team:   If you have not asked to join the teams Facebook page please do so.  We will post a message to the page.

 

E-mail Distribution : Hopefully I have everyone’s e-mail on my list.  If you have an additional e-mail address you would like to receive e-mails to – just send me an e-mail and I will be happy to add another e-mail to my list. Sometimes sending an e-mail while away from home can be difficult.  That is why RainedOut is the preferred method.

 

BLOG on the golightning.org website: I try to send ALL e-mails to the BLOG that can be accessed via the team website at:  http://golightning.org/  or directly at  http://lhlflash.blogspot.com/. The BLOG if you have never used it is a great place to go for ALL historical e-mails you might need.

 

 

If is doubt just remember that:

 

Thunder/Lightning is a NO, rain might be a GO.

 

If there is thunder and lightning in the area the pool will most likely close.

 

The RSL has very specific rules that dictate when a meet can be  cancelled or delayed, and for how long we have to attempt to get the meet completed before moving to the makeup date, which is on the next night unless another date can be agreed upon by the RSL representatives.
