Lee's Hill Lightning News - LH versus College Heights

Lee’s Hill Lightning Families,

Happy 4th of July to all!!  I hope everyone is having a safe and happy day!

With only one 45 minute delay for lightning – we got through our second complete home meet.

Although the score on paper was in favor of the College Heights Gators, our very own Lee’s Hill Lighting won in enthusiasm, determination and spirit. So proud of our team! Great Job everyone!

The final score was Lee’s Hill - 224 and College Heights - 282.

Congratulations to the following Lightning triple winners:

Steve Miller

Also, Congratulations to the Girls 9-10 100 Meter Free Relay team for setting a new pool record!

New Record - 1:15.57

Charlotte Denecke

Skyler Cork

Rylie White

Rachel Turman

Our swimmers are doing a great job at practice and at the meets!  I love all the team spirit and cheering for your team mates!  That is what this is all about, and of course having fun!

I have learned over the past month that a swim meet can be described as a chain.  Every link in that chain is very important, and every link matters! If there is one link that breaks, it can slow the meet to a halt.  I am happy to say, that even though there were some minor issues this week, the meet ran very smoothly and those issues were dealt with fairly and quickly.

I really appreciate all of the volunteers, parents and swimmers for hanging in there through the delay. I know that there are issues that come up before, during, and after the meet.  Everyone is doing a great job communicating them to me.  I am here to help!  Just let me know how.

Tremendous job by all the Lee’s Hill Lighting swimmers and volunteers!! Well Done!

I will be sending out another e-mail with regard to next Wednesday’s July 10th - AWAY meet against the Ferry Farm Flying Fish, to include any volunteer positions that might still need to be filled, and the meet schedule.

See you at the pool!

Go Lightning!
