Lee's Hill Lightning News - AWAY MEET @ Ferry Farm - Help Needed

Lee’s Hill Lightning Families,

 

This week’s meet is an AWAY Meet against the Ferry Farm Flying Fish!

 

I still need a bit of volunteer help (Second Half) in the following positions:

 

 

·         *Head Scorer – Second Half

 

·         *Stroke and Turn – Second Half

 

·         *Head Clerk of Course – Second Half

 

·         Clerk of Course – Second Half

 

·         Timer Lane 4 – Second Half

 

·         Timer Lane 5 – Second Half

 

·         Safety Marshall – Second Half

 

 

We received the following information from the Ferry Farm RSL Representative:

 

·         The pool is located at 11 Mercer Lane Fredericksburg VA 22405.

·         Parking for swim meets is available in the parking lots surrounding the Ferry Farm pool and Ferry Farm Elementary School.

 

·         The two main parking lots have access off of Mercer Lane via Pendleton Drive.

 

·         The overflow parking lot off of Jefferson St. (via Pendleton Dr.) is not accessible on Wednesday nights until after 7:15 PM. Jungle Boys Training Boot Camp will be in session at that time.

 

·         Additional parking is permitted on all surface streets and school bus ramp drive way in front of the school.

 

·         Parking is not allowed on Mercer Lane from the intersection of Pendleton to the end of Mercer Lane's cul-de-sac curving away from the pool.

 

·         If you choose to park there, you park at your own risk. Residence have been known to have vehicles towed in the past.

 

·         The away side of the pool has limited deck space but we have a large grassy area behind the home side.  Please feel free to enjoy the shade!

DIRECTIONS: From Fredericksburg, across the Chatham Bridge to the third traffic light at Ferry Road, left on Ferry Road and go 0.8 miles to Pendleton Road. Turn right on Pendleton Road and go to the stop sign at Mercer Lane and the pool is behind the elementary school on your left.

From the Route 3 Bypass, left at the traffic light on Kings Highway and proceed to the next traffic light on Ferry Road. Right on Ferry Road and go 0.8 miles to Pendleton Road. Thereafter, follow the same directions as noted above. Ample parking and deck space.

 

The meet starts at 6:00 PM.

 

Warm ups for us begin around 5:20 - 5:30 PM

 

Please arrive at the pool to check in with your coaches by 4:45 PM.
