Looks like a nice night for a swim meet!
Here are a few tips that were forwarded to me for both our new and returning family's:
Swim Meet Tips for New Families:
Welcome to the team! It's going to be a great night for a swim meet!
What to bring:
1. Bag chairs
2. Plenty of towels so that your swimmers can dry off after each event
3. Water bottles and healthy snacks. Concessions are available but it is nice to have snacks on hand.
4. Swim caps and goggles
5. T-shirt or sweatshirt for after swimming
6. Card games or books to keep kids busy while waiting for their event
When you arrive:
1. Find the coaches to "check in"
2. Locate Clerk of Course so that you know where to take your children when it is their event.
3. Clerk of Course will post the event numbers so that you can watch for when your child swims
4. If there is thunder they have to close the pool. We wait to see if the storm passes or if the meet is called.

Well it looks like the weather is going to be nice tomorrow evening for our first AWAY Exhibition Meet against the Leeland Express.
The RSL Rep from Leeland Station has informed us that we can start arriving at the pool between 4:00 – 4:30 PM. Our team warm up will start promptly at 5:00 PM and the meet starts right at 6:00 PM.
Swimmers will find out what events they will be swimming at morning practice, or at the meet if they cannot come to morning practice. Swimmers - please check in with the coach's when you arrive at the Leeland pool.
We have had A LOT of last minute signups, and folks letting us know they will be missing the meet. The coach's will do the very best they can to get as many swimmers as possible into the meet.
Remember to bring chairs, sunscreen and healthy snacks. Bring water for good hydration. They will have concessions available at the meet.
There will be a meeting for timers approximately ½ hour before the start of the meet. Listen for the announcement.

Going south on I-95 take exit 136. Keep left at the fork on the exit ramp. Turn left at the light onto Centreport Parkway. Drive 1.2 miles and take a left at the light onto US route 1 south. Go 1.1 miles and take a left at the light on onto Layhill Rd. Go 1.1 miles and take a right onto Riggs Road. The Pool is 0.3 miles on the right.
Going north on I-95 take exit 133. Keep right at the fork on the exit ramp and merge onto US-17 BUS S/Warrenton Rd. Drive 1.9 miles and take a left at the light onto US route 1 north. Go 2.0 miles and take a right at the light on onto Layhill Rd. Go 1.1 miles and take a right onto Riggs Road. The Pool is 0.3 miles on the right.
Park in pool parking lot or on pool side of the street starting at the first pool parking lot entrance continuing down past the tennis courts.

Take Right onto Campbell Drive then Right at the light onto Mine Rd
Take a Left at the light onto Lansdowne Rd, then at the light a left onto Dixon Street, then take ramp onto the Blue Gray Parkway towards Route 3 East & King George, and then a Left onto Kings Highway (N), then turn Right at the light onto Cool Springs Road
Continue on Cool Springs Road – which turns into Deacon Rd - then Left onto Route 626 Leeland Rd - Left onto Primmer House Road (Conway Elementary School will be on your Left), and finally a Left onto Riggs Road.
Pool will be on your Right.
Park in pool parking lot or on pool side of the street starting at the first pool parking lot entrance continuing down past the tennis courts.
