We have received information from the Massad RSL Representative regarding Wednesday Nights Meet.
Please read the valuable information below.
Unfortunately – I was misinformed regarding the number of lanes that the Marlins use during home meets. I set up the signups for an 8 lanes pool – we only need 6 lanes. So the first half timers in lanes 7 & 8 you are off the hook.
However - I am in desperate need of some additional volunteers for this meet especially during the second half of the meet – I have attached the Signup's as of tonight.

The Massad YMCA Marlins would like to welcome your team to the Steve and Cheri Thurston Water Park at the Massad YMCA on Wednesday June 20th.The address of the pool is 212 Butler Road, Falmouth, VA 22045.
The water park and pool are located behind the YMCA. There is plenty of parking around the pool complex. The pool has 6-lanes and is 25 meters in length. The water park slides, splash pads, and wading area are closed during the meet. Swimmers are only allowed in the main pool area with the lane lines. Safety Marshals will be monitoring these areas. We ask that everyone stay out of those areas due to safety concerns. There is also a wooden bridge to help meet officials and timers change sides of the pool during the meet. The bridge is off limits to all swimmers.
Do you have any swimmers with special needs? If you do, please let me know how we can accommodate them. We have a swimmer with a medical condition that is affected by flash photography. We request that your team be made aware that flash photography is prohibited during the meet. There will be several announcements made during the meet as a reminder.
The pool closes at 4:30 pm to patrons and the gates will reopen at 4:45 pm for meet participants.
Below is the schedule for the meet:
Pool closes and water park is cleared: 4:30 pm
Gates reopen to meet participants: 4:45 pm
Home Team warm-ups: 5:05-5:25 pm
Visiting Team warm-ups: 5:30-5:50 pm
Timers meeting: 5:30 pm in grassy area next to lifeguard office.
Stroke and Turn/Referee Meeting: 5:30 pm at starting equipment
Swimmers for events 1-4 to Clerk of Course: 5:50 pm located in pavilion behind water slides
National Anthem: 5:55 pm
Meet Starts: 6:00 pm
We ask that you bring your starting equipment as back-up in case our systems fails to operate. Please also remember to bring your team's stopwatches.
The home team sits on the left side of the pool as you entry the pool complex. The visiting team sits on the right side of the pool in the grass area and under the canopies. The water park features Kiki's Lunchbox, which will be open during the meet and offers salads, wraps, snacks, candy, ice cream, and much more.
The Massad Marlins will be selling raffle tickets. Tickets are $5 and the drawing will be made on July 18th.
Our Scoring Room is in the lifeguard office. Only scoring officials and awards clerks should be in lifeguard office.
At the conclusion of the meet, we ask that both teams ensure all trash is picked up in their respective areas and placed in trash cans on their way out of pool area.
